A common issue with imported  MX5's is sun damage on the hoods and interiors. If your dashboard has been distorted in this way the best solution is a better condition dashboard replacement. It's not as big a job as you might think. Its essentially a matter of finding and removing the anchor bolts for the dashboard (we can advise exactly where these are) and then swapping the wiring and switches from your old dash when  it's out.
